Ideal for the face, neck, chest, or legs, Thermolysis offers visible improvement after just one session. Thermolysis is a non-invasive method that uses high-frequency electrical currents to coagulate and eliminate unwanted blood vessels and vascular lesions. A fine needle is gently inserted into the thread vein or blood spot, delivering a controlled electric current.
This heat causes the vessel wall to collapse, stopping blood flow and allowing the body to naturally absorb the treated vein over time. This treatment is also used in the blend method, combining Thermolysis with electrolysis to increase precision. It is especially effective for conditions like telangiectasia, blood spots, and vascular blemishes, typically seen on the face, chest, or lower limbs.

Common questions
- How many treatments will I need?
- Small thread veins typically require 1 to 3 treatments, while larger vessels or blood spots may need additional sessions. Results are often visible immediately, with complete healing in 5 to 21 days.
- How should I prepare for the treatment?
- Book a consultation to assess your skin and suitability. Avoid sun exposure, scrubs, microdermabrasion and chemical peels for 2 weeks before, do not drink alcohol for 24 hours before the session, avoid photo-sensitising agents and salicylic acid for at least 2 weeks, and hydrate well the day before.
- What happens after the treatment?
- Mild peeling or scabbing may occur, which is a normal part of healing. Do not pick or scratch the area, avoid heat such as saunas, hot baths and sunbeds, use skincare with UVA and UVB protection, and support recovery with vitamins C, K, PP and B2.
